Quantification of 3D Kinematic Measurements Using an IMU-Based Sensor System: A Cadaveric Study

This cadaver study aimed to verify soft tissue artifact (STA) effects on tibial and femoral rotation measurements. The study found minimal STA effects in the tibia, with consistent tibial rotation measurements across positions, while femoral rotation showed greater variability. Additionally, GATOR’s tibial ROM measurements closely matched bone-mounted sensor readings, confirming its accuracy.
