Frequently asked,
plainly answered.

What is the cost of the assessment? Patient +
The cost varies depending on the type of assessment and the clinic where it is conducted. However, GATOR assessments are significantly more affordable and faster than traditional diagnostic tests like MRIs and X-rays.
How long does the assessment take? Patient +
The assessment typically takes 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
What are the treatments available? Patient +
After your assessment, your softcopy report will be shared within a few business hours with your healthcare professional. They will discuss your results with you and recommend the necessary follow-up actions based on your condition.
Is the product safe to use? Patient +
Yes, GATOR is completely safe to use. It is non-invasive, with no procedures or incisions required, and is HSA-approved, ensuring it meets the highest standards for safety and efficacy.
Can I claim this expense from my company? Patient +
Please check with the specific healthcare provider conducting your assessment to inquire about the coverage and reimbursement options available.
Do I need to prepare anything for the assessment? Patient +
It is recommended to wear shorts and sports shoes on the day of your assessment. If you're having a GATOR Pro assessment, please wear shorts, as the ultrasound will be conducted on the thighs, above the knees.
How does PreciX keep my data safe? All +
At PreciX, safeguarding your personal data is our top priority. We implement strict security measures, including advanced encryption, secure access controls and regular security audits, to prevent unauthorized access, misuse, modification, or disclosure of your information. Our systems comply with industry best practices to ensure your data remains secure at all times.
What does the assessment actually measure? Clinician +
The GATOR Pro report includes eight outputs derived from the sit-stand-sit task: peak external rotation, peak internal rotation, total internal–external rotation arc, screw-home magnitude, rep-to-rep coefficient of variation, an ML-derived 0–3 pivot-shift grade equivalent with confidence score, the patient-reported IKDC subjective evaluation, and selected B-mode ultrasound bone-tracking frames attached to the report.
How long does an assessment take, end to end? Clinician +
Median time from device pairing to signed PDF report is 10 minutes (Prime, Pro). Setup and patient positioning account for approximately 90 seconds of this.
Is the device cleared for clinical use? Clinician +
Yes. GATOR Pro is HSA-approved (Class A). Refer to the Instructions for Use for full regulatory detail.
What does the assessment feel like? Patient +
You wear a lightweight harness around the thigh and knee, then rise from a chair and sit back down a few times — the same movement you would do every day. The device captures the kinematics passively while you move. There is no examiner-driven manoeuvre and no anaesthesia involved. Most patients describe it as no different from a normal clinic appointment.
How do I purchase or trial a device? Procurement +
All device procurement is handled through our clinical sales team. Contact us via the form on the Contact page and we'll respond within one business day with a quote and demo option.
